Joseph Tusiani, known as the “Poet of Two Lands” and renowned worldwide for writing in four languages – English, Italian, Latin and Pugliese dialect – was recently honored as New York State Poet Laureate Emeritus by Governor Andrew Cuomo, “in recognition of contributions to the international literary community.” Originally from San Marco in Lamis, Joseph came to the United States at age 23 to meet his fath
