Intensive Italian language and culture course in Rome

Wellesley College offers the intensive intermediate Italian language and culture course ITAS 202 and also the ITAS 250 Independent Study in January 6-24,  2020 in Rome. The course description states:

 

This intensive three-week program is a rigorous linguistic and a valuable cultural full-immersion experience in Italy.  Like ITAS 202 and the Independent Study ITAS 250 offered on campus in the spring semester, this course consists in a fast-paced grammar review with practice of all language skills through readings of literary texts and newspapers articles, oral discussions and presentations on Italian current events, and compositions on cultural topics examined in class. The course includes a rich program of guest speakers and film screenings. Students interested in the ITAS 250 option would also conduct an independent research project with  Flavia Laviosa, the Director and instructor of the program.

 

Prerequisite: ITAS 201 or permission of instructor. Distribution: Language and Literature

Unit: 1.0

 

The course is open to students from other academic institutions.
