HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE AP ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE EXAM
- HOW CAN I TAKE THE AP ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE EXAM IF MY SCHOOL DOES NOT OFFER THE COURSE?
You may be able to take the AP Exam you want by arranging to test at a participating school. Here’s how:
STEP 1: Make sure you have your zip code, the list of the exams you wish to take, a notepad and a pen.
STEP 2: Contact AP Services at the following numbers:
to get the names and telephone numbers of local, participating AP Coordinators willing to test outside students. Prepare a list of the AP Exams you are interested in taking before you call.
STEP 3: Call the AP Coordinators identified by AP Services no later than March 17.
When calling Coordinators to arrange testing, make sure to tell them:
You are trying to locate a school willing to administer exams to homeschooled students or students from schools that do not offer AP Exams.
Once you locate an agreeable school, that school's AP Coordinator is responsible for ordering your exam materials, telling you when and where to report for the exams, and collecting your fees, which may be higher to cover the school’s additional proctoring or administration costs. That school must administer the exams for you; the school cannot forward them to you or your school for handling.
2. ON EXAM DAY
You must bring a valid government- or school-issued photo ID with you to the exam.
If you attend a school that doesn’t offer AP, you should not use the school code for the school where you are testing. Instead, make sure to use your own school’s code so your exam score(s) will be reported to your school. This means you need to get your school’s six-digit code from your principal or school counselor before exam day. If you are home-schooled, use the state or international home-school/self-study code that will be given to you on the day of the exam.

1. COME MI POSSO ISCRIVERE ALL’ESAME DI AP IN LINGUA E CULTURA ITALIANE SE LA MIA SCUOLA NON OFFRE IL CORSO?

Tu puoi sostenere l’esame in un’altra scuola disponibile. Ecco come:
- prepara il tuo ZIP CODE, la lista degli esami che vuoi sostenere, un blocco notes e tieni una penna a portata di mano;
- chiama l’AP SERVICES ai numeri sotto indicati:
Per avere il nome ed il telefono del più vicino coordinatore AP disponibile ad accogliere esaminandi esterni. Ricorda di preparare accuratamente la lista degli esami che vuoi sostenere prima di chiamare.
- chiama il Coordinatore AP così identificato dall’AP Services non più tardi del 17 marzo 2014.
Quando chiamerai il Coordinatore per concordare il tuo esame, ricordati di dirgli:
che stai cercano una scuola disponibile a somministrare gli esami a studenti privatisti o a studenti che non lo possono sostenere presso le loro scuole.
Una volta che hai individuato una scuola disposta ad accoglierti, sarà il Coordinatore AP di quella scuola ad ordinare i materiali per il tuoi esami, a dirti dove e quando sostenere l’esame, raccogliere i soldi per la registrazione (che potrebbe costare un po’ di più per coprire i costi del personale o amministrativi). Quella scuola dovrà amministrare i tuoi esami e in alcun modo li potrà inviare a te o alla tua scuola.
2. COSA FARE IL GIORNO DELL’ESAME
Devi portare con te un valido documento di riconoscimento (può essere quello rilasciato dalle autorità pubbliche o quello della scuola) nel quale vi sia la tua foto.
Se la tua scuola non offre l’AP, non devi usare il codice della tua scuola al posto di quello della scuola dove stati sostenendo l’esame. Piuttosto, assicurati di scrivere il codice della tua scuola per la comunicazione dei risultati dell’esame. Ciò significa che devi farti rilasciare, prima dell’esame, dal tuo preside o dal counselor il codice di sei “digits”. Se sei uno studente privatista, usa il codice riservato a home-school/self-study che ti sarà dato il giorno dell’esame.
