Uni-Italia Association
The MAECI is a founding member of the Uni-Italia Association, which has been working since 2010 to promote the Italian academic system abroad and encourage academic cooperation. Through its overseas centres, Uni-Italia assists students interested in pursuing their studies in Italy, providing information on Italian educational programmes and support with pre-enrolment procedures. It also assists foreign universities in establishing partnerships with Italian universities.
Since the start of its activities, Uni-Italia has achieved significant results, contributing to the growth in the number of foreign students enrolled at our universities and academies and supporting Italian participation in the most important international sector fairs, such as the US-based NAFSA. The Association has also established important partnerships with its foreign counterparts in university promotion, such as the German DAAD, the US-based IIE, the French Campus France and the Dutch Nuffic.
Following the statutory amendment approved in 2024, Uni-Italia is now composed not only of MAECI, MUR, the Ministry of the Interior, CRUI and ICE-Agenzia, but also of the MIM. The strengthening of Uni-Italia’s governance and international standing confirms the commitment to invest more and in a more systematic manner in the promotion of our higher education system abroad.
