The NIAF Scholarships Program and the Russo Brothers Italian American Film Forum both have application deadlines of March 1! Share these two amazing opportunities with your friends, family and members of your Italian clubs! 



The NIAF Scholarship Program offers 35 different categories of scholarships for Italian American college, graduate and professional degree-seeking students for the Fall 2019 semester!  Scholarships range from $2,500-$12,000.

Deadline: Friday, March 1, 2019 (11:59 p.m. ET)

Applicants must: 

  • Be a member of NIAF or have a parent, guardian or grandparent who is a member of NIAF. Not a member? Visit our membership page to join or renew your membership today!
  • Be enrolled in a US accredited institution of higher education for the Fall 2019 semester.
  • Have a grade-point average of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 (or the equivalent). Some scholarships require a lower GPA requirement for eligibility. Students that are a part of a pass-fail system are also welcome to apply.
  • Be a United States citizen or permanent resident alien.
  • For the purposes of the NIAF Scholarship Program, to be considered “Italian American,” the student must have at least one ancestor who has immigrated from Italy.

 

The Russo Brothers Italian American Film Forum, grants multiple $8,000 grants to aspiring filmmakers around the country to create documentary or fiction/non-fiction narrative films that explore the Italian American experience for the benefit of future generations. The details relating to the program can be found on the NIAF website.

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo, in conjunction with the Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA) and the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) collaborate to offer this exciting grant program.
